I haven't seen it.
Bizen is the freshest sushi. Well worth a visit.
Always loved this resturaunt but the prices have gotten so expencive! Catering more twards the wealthy new yorker instead of town resedents. I paid 5 dollars for this tiny bowl of miso soup!! that was smaller than my hand. Still no complaints on the taste, lost a star for price
Overwhelming choice. Great and fresh choice. Pleasant service. I'll be back when in town.
Excellent sushi service was attentive and polite I am looking forward to going back
A big selection of food. We ordered bento box which is kinda like luxury style. It tastes very good!!
When I first saw gourmet sushi, I really wasnt thinking this would be the top notch sushi. When I saw the prices, I instantly wanted to turn away. But something told me enjoy the moment and give it a try. I definitely DO NOT regret the decision I have made! Every dollar was worth it. The flavor explosions during that first bite has completely blown me away. My taste buds have tasted something that of no other. This sushi tasted as if it could have been made in Japan itself. 5 stars from me.
This has been on my list of places to eat. I'm sorry I haven't been here sooner! Terrific food and atmosphere. The Bento Box was delicious and plenty of food.
Best Japanese restaurant. Wholesome, delicious Sushi and hot meals.
This was our first and last time eating at Bizen. They forgot to pack the rice so we had to go back to get it. Another dish was not what we ordered. The food was completely overcooked and quite unappetizing. The sushi was ok. Given the pricing we expected a lot better.
Favorite place! This is the only restaurant we go to! Amazing sushi and the friendliest staff. Highly recommend the plum wine and o Toro tuna!
Great ambience and decor. Friendly staff. A novel-sized menu. And the best sushi you're likely to have outside of Japan. The fish always has a buttery smooth texture and is delicious.
This used to be my favorite restaurant in the Berkshires. The last few visits have been plagued with bad experiences. No salmon or tuna one time, and last time no bartender, no tempura, no torched rolls, and just plain bad service. Probably will not visit again. Used to be the best sushi place around.
The food is organic and really nicely prepared. The menu is extensive. If you like Japanese food, this is the place to go in Great Barrington and surrounding areas. There are lots of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, and eating gluten free here is also easy. I don't like to eat out much, but almost always make an exception for this place when in the area. Great for a party of two or up to six.
Great food, service was good, atmosphere as well
This place has a wide variety of Japanese cuisine. I wanted a Bloody Mary but they dont serve that so I ordered a Gin & Tonic. They were out of Tanqueray. Cocktails aren't really this place's strong point. They have Blue Fin tuna sushi here. Isn't that an endangered species? The chairs could use some padding. The atmosphere is pretty good. The dining room is separated into several rooms.
Service was a little disorganized but it eventually worked out. Ordered a soft shell crab tempura and was served a shrimp tempura roll. Won't order that again. Soup was delicious.
Ruthless dictators deserves better sushi. Not very good food. The fish made my family sick.
The freshest Japanese cuisine I’ve had in 10 countries over the last 6 months. Scored a table by the sushi bar to watch the masters and their precise, blurry hands. Range is very creative, staff cordial and food immaculate. Lovely owner who clearly cares about locals and new visitors (like me) even though they were super busy at dinner time. Shall return before venturing on!
Highest quality and diversity of menu place this establishment in rare company. Sake list alone is an education.
Authentic Japanese cuisine and interior design, plus beautiful, traditional Japanese ceramics on display made locally in Monterey
My god the foods good. I have been going here for years. I do think Sotomura is better though.
the fish could be better. However a lot of people in my party liked it. They should try to get better fish. It was otherwise fine.Animals such as Tuna should not being hunted to make mediocre sushi.
